Jeremy Cooke - Chairman
Jeremy Cooke is A Mancunian who started his career in the FMCG marketplace with Polycell Products in 1977. By the Early 80's it was time for an Entrepreneurial challenge in the newly emerging and liberalised Telecommunications industry.
As Sales & Marketing Director for Rocom Ltd (a pioneering telecommunications wholesale distributor) between 1984 & 1990, the business grew profitably, from revenues of £1.6m to £20m. During this period he also found time to pioneer the distribution of British Telecom Business Telephone Systems, advised the New Zealand Government on the liberalisation strategy for their National Telecoms Company and sourced "own-brand" telephone equipment from China & Japan.
In 1991, Jeremy co-founded SDX Business Systems, where, as Sales & Marketing Director, he grew revenue from £8m to £60m over a seven year period. Cooke's channel strategy rapidly established the company as a market leader enabling the company to achieve a Uk stock market flotation in Dec 1996 following which SDX was acquired by Lucent Technologies in 1999.
Subsequently providing Due Dilligence on behalf of Venture Capitalists in the City he took up a number of non-executive Directorships. These included consumer market research company Mintel, Pedalite, (Chairman) - Magenta Logic, Splicecom Ltd and GMS (Chairman) Other Interests include ownership of Lucky Logic, established to develop and commercialise a new and unique concept in interactive Lottery gaming.
Jeremy (50) was educated at Manchester Grammar School and is a member of British Mensa, has a handicap of 9, uniquely supports both Manchester United and Arsenal (don't ask !) and is currently captain of Brocket hall Golf Club.
